Human sense organs include those that can provide vision, hearing, smell, taste and equilibrium, and also, in contrast to the above mentioned, mechanoreceptive somatic sensations, thermoreceptive sensations, pain sensations, exteroreceptive sensations, visceral sensations, and deep sensations, which collect sensory information from all over the body. All the sensory information then passes through the sensory pathways to the central nervous system, where it is treated and interpreted, and, through those sense processing procedures of analysis, comparison, recording, and discrimination, comprehensible consciousness is then formed and used to solve problems and to prepare for the future through such thinking modes as reasoning, logic, and imagination, etc.

These human sense organs, whatever types they are, can only collect the information about “something that is happening in the present.” For those future events not yet to happen now, no sense information can be collected, and then processed and interpreted through the central nervous system as the future hasn’t occurred yet. Therefore, when human beings are planning for the future, they can only rely on their past experiences to make assumptions and carry out reasoning. However, the cosmic environment where humans are situated may change within a short time, and the states of both the system itself and the surroundings, such as internal energy, enthalpy changes, entropy values, and free energy, etc., also change all the time.

The particles of each system in the universe therefore become even more disorderly, causing the entropy value of the surroundings to continuously increase. Once the total entropy value of the surroundings has increased, it is unable to decrease, which means it will never go back to the original state; therefore, each rule of thumb that is formed by the “original state” cannot be used to make accurate judgements about future changes. And this is also the main reason why the experience obtained from “something happening” cannot be used to accurately judge the future changes, making plans always fail to keep pace with the changes and thus filling humans with ignorance and fear of the future. It becomes the origin that brings the largest pain and sufferings to the human body and mind.

The major reason why humans cannot detect the future is not that the future cannot be detected. Instead, it is because the human body doesn’t have the sensory receptor that can detect the law and interaction of cause and effect of the future and thus it fails to collect relevant messages to interpret the future. The law and interaction of cause and effect is the major reason that accounts for the formation of the origin of each dimension, the quadrant of time and space, and the things and phenomena in the universe. The action force of cause and effect attracts the formation and annihilation of the things and phenomena in the universe, including the trajectory of future development of the states of the system itself and the surroundings, such as internal energy, enthalpy changes, entropy values, and free energy, etc.

All and every things and phenomena, from the minute cosmic dust to the largest celestial bodies and star clusters, are attracted and restricted by the cosmic action force of cause and effect. It is similar to the universal gravitation on Earth that controls all the objects here, from the minute dust to the largest rock, all of which are affected by the gravitation. Even though humans can use the reaction force to balance the force of the Earth’s gravity, they cannot leave the universe and get rid of the restriction or influence of the action force and the law and interaction of cause and effect.
